MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIR
We are less than 4 months away from the general election. That means that now is the time to become active and involved. There is much to do and it is important that we all contribute our efforts to this election.
The Westdems HQ is open every weekday from 10am to 8pm and has set a goal of 1000 phone calls a day. We are also open on Saturday mornings. So please sign up to come and call. Sign up at : 623-249-7407
We will also be holding our own LD12 calling parties (the next one is on August 3rd at 4:30pm in Surprise).
But we are also all for having fun and talking politics. So join us for our LD12 social Pizza Party to meet and chat with other Obama supporters and get to know our local candidates and fellow LD12 members. We will meet at 6pm at the Peter Piper Pizza south of I-10 and Dysart.
Stay tuned for more activities coming in August and be prepared to walk every weekend in September and October to finally turn Arizona blue! |

The Secretary of State Elections Office just confirmed that Legislative District 12 (LD12) was the first to file its
slate of Democratic candidates for the Arizona legislature, have the petitions verified, and to fulfill all clean
election requirements. LD12 candidates first to file in Arizona are Angela Cotera for State Senate and Eve
Nunez and Dave Scanlon for State Representative positions.
As
of November 1st, the West Valley Democratic Office is now open! This
office will serve serveral legislative districts including LD12.
Volunteers are needed to help make phone calls, canvass for our
candidates and help staff the office. Please contact Shirley McAllister
